The Community Action, Inc. Family Day Care program (CAI-FCC) provides comprehensive Family Child Care services for children 8 weeks to 12 years old.
FCC staff is committed to assisting participating educators to provide high quality professional early care and education services that meet the social, emotional and developmental needs of children. The support provided includes technical and educational visits to the family childcare homes by FCC staff. Staff also engage with parents and caregivers to offer community resources, as needed.
Services
The Family Child Care program is a network of EEC licensed Child Care Educators who offer care and education in a family home setting. Family Child Care Educators who are part of this network provide the following:
Developmentally appropriate materials and experiences
A positive atmosphere designed to encourage self-confidence, independence and intellectual curiosity
Services that provide flexible care options for continuing education and working parents

CAI-FCC currently has educators located in Haverhill
CAI-FCC follows the EEC Income Eligibility Table.
In addition to income guidelines, parents/guardians must be working a minimum of 30 hours/week

Commitment to Educators
CAI-FDC is committed to supporting our educators in a partnership with parents to provide high quality professional early care and education services which meet the social and emotional needs of all children.
In conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), CAI-FDC promotes, encourages and supports Family Child Care Educators in their pursuit of higher education. CAI-FDC provides support and technical assistance to educators who seek professional credentials, to include but not limited to CDA, NAFCC accreditation and The Quality Rating and Improvement Standards (QRIS).
The EEC supports qualified educators with the opportunity to reach college degrees in Early Childhood Education. Educators have the opportunity to participate in workshops and seminars offered throughout the region and through the CAI-FDC program.
